Dukan Diet

If you haven't  heard of the Dukan diet, it is a very popular french diet that consists of eating mostly protein. It has been used by celebrities and is speculated that Catherine Middleton may have used it before marrying Prince William.

This diet is known for rapid weight loss, but with it comes side effects, and health risks. Side effects of this diet are dry mouth, bad breath, constipation, and fatique. Hello..... warning flags should be going up. You can't just cut out healthy carbs, fruits and vegetables from your diet. You need good carbs for energy, and fruits and vegetables for vitamins and nutrients. Basically this diet is saying that you can eat all the meat you want as long as you don't mind putting yourself at risk for colon cancer and heart disease.

Fiber from fruits and vegetables are needed to help you eliminate waste from your body, plus fiber fights off sugar cravings. The more fruit and vegetables you eat, the more likely you are to stay away from processed junk foods.

It is a fact that most dieters fail, or give up when they try these crazy diets, and most diets set you up for failure. These diets are extremely difficult to maintain and they are not healthy. All you need to do to maintain weight loss is learn how to balance your meals, or you can chew on a chicken leg, keep fly's away with your breath (and everyone you know), take laxatives to relieve your stomach cramps, carry a water bottle with you everywhere, and waste away on your couch because you are too tired to enjoy your weight loss.
